What Are MCPs?

MCPs (Model Context Protocol) let Julius securely connect to your databases, files, APIs, and tools in real time. Just point Julius at your MCP endpoint and start using your data—no extra steps needed. Each MCP consists of:
  • Tools: Specific actions Julius can perform (e.g., search your files, query a database, send a Slack message)
  • Server: The application or service that makes these tools available to Julius
MCPs allow Julius to connect directly to your existing tools and services, expanding what it can do- like accessing your company’s data, automating tasks, or integrating with the software you already use.

How MCPs Work in Julius

  • Connect your MCP server (see connection instructions).
  • Use MCP tools in Julius to pull data or make changes in your app, all from within Julius.
  • No special interface—just ask Julius and it will use the right MCP tool automatically.

Connecting MCPs

We support the following major MCPs out of the box.
  • Notion
  • Stripe
  • Github
  • Zapier
  • Intercom

Bring Your Own MCP

Julius supports the ability for you to bring your own MCP using your custom endpoint and authorization_tokens. Simply provide the endpoint URL of your organization’s MCP server along with the required authorization token(s) when configuring the connector in Julius.
We currently do not support connecting via MCP’s SSE (Server-Sent Events) URLs or other streaming-based connection methods. Only standard HTTP(S) endpoints with token-based authentication are supported.
